Elden Ring is a massive game, so chances are good that it’ll take more than one playthrough to see everything. Seeing as how starting new game plus in Elden Ring is as easy as resting at the Roundtable of Lost Grace and selecting the "Begin Journey 2" option, it can be tempting to do so without making any preparations. Don’t do that. There are certain things that can only be done with most of the map accessible and most of the stores unlocked. If one wants to start new game plus on the best possible footing, there are a few steps that should be taken first.

Okay, so now that most of the bosses have been defeated and most of the dungeons have been found and looted, the only thing left to do is spend all those extra runes at the Twin Maiden Husks Shop in Roundtable Hold. All bell bearings (and the items they unlock) are lost upon starting new game plus, so it's best to buy up as many rare consumables, materials and smithing stones as possible before starting that next run. New game plus is all about playing around with new weapons and such, and it's much easier to do that with a well-stocked inventory. Don't worry about banking runes, there will be plenty more of them in the next run. The best thing to do now is spend 'em!
The Noble's Set is usually only popular for its navy blue hood but it has its uses, especially against Magic attacks. While it's severely lacking in the physical mitigation department or even in Poise, it's a great armor for tanking some light but damaging Magic atta
Gilded Greatshield : Another shield that can be infuriatingly difficult to farm, the Gilded Greatshield is otherwise a pretty good shield, having decent elemental damage negation, strong Fire and Holy resistance, and a relatively high guard boost. Like most Greatshields, it's notably weak against Lightning damage. Additionally, its hefty Strength requirement makes it a poor choice for early-game farming. By the time players have the stats to wield it, more appealing options are likely availa
Once again, a named NPC will invade and players must defeat them to get the weapon. As for Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear, they’ll have to travel to Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum and defeat the Lord of Blood himself in order to get his weapon. All of these weapons are not necessary to have on hand, but they make for a nice range of options. Of the three, though, Rivers of Blood is the most usable, so go for that one at the very least. Of course, these will all need to be upgraded in order to get the full effect.
It's just there to frustrate the players once again and is just a mere nuisance in game design as players simply just run past it. It's topped off with one of the least logical pathways to a boss arena; somehow, coffins are a better transportation method than Torr
As for Bell Bearing Hunters, there are four in total, they all appear at night, and they're all inexplicably tough. As with all the previously-mentioned boss enemies, though, the rewards are often worth it. Each hunter awards a special bell bearing upon its defeat, enabling players to gain easy access to high-level materials and more. Track them down at the following locations and bring that A-game; they'll punish anything and everything less.
Getting to Redmane Castle is as easy as following the main road in Caelid. Radahn's red redoubt is due southeast of Caelid, following the road. Do be aware that the guards are not friendly and will send catapult fire down the player's approach. There's a teleporter before the great bridge, but it only unlocks after a certain point during Ranni's questl
The Scaled Set is a more serious version of the Mushroom set for those who want armor that can actually tank multiple sources of damage. It has a lot more poise and the same Magic defense. The downside? It's a lot heavier. In fact, it's one of the heaviest medium-heavy armor sets in the g
